My aim is to keep gear to a minimum and keep it lightweight
Camera & Lenses
-
Fujifilm X-T2. 24 Mega Pixel, APSC format. (link is to X-T4, the current Fuji APSC camera)
-
Small, light and the dials make it a joy to use. It's also very well built and fully weather sealed which is a huge advantage.
-
-
Fujifilm XF 10-24mm f4. Ultra Wide Zoom
-
Great for seascapes.
-
-
Fujifilm XF 16-80mm f4 Standard Zoom
-
Perfect as a one lens solution to keep it light. Decent 'macro' performance for details. Great travel lens also
-
-
Fujifilm XF 55-200mm f3.5 Telephoto Zoom
-
Easily my most used lens, great for picking out details.

Tripods & Heads
-
Artcise AS80C
-
Not a brand you'll probably recognise. Chinese, bowl head, carbon fibre tripod. Highly recommended. Why pay more?
-
-
Benro Geared Head
-
I love the geared head. Makes fine-tuning the composition child's-play, though it is a bit heavy
-
-
Cullman Travel Tripod
-
For when I want to go super-light. Pretty stable for its weight, though doesn't go as high as I'd like
-
-
Smallrig Ball Head
-
Used with the Cullman legs. Very light, well made an inexpensive
-
Filters
-
Kase Woverine magnetic filters
-
I no longer use graduated filters - too much faff. These are highly recommended
-
I also carry
-
Smallrig L Bracket - I wouldn't be without this. It makes switching between landscape and potrait orientation a breeze
-
Plenty of spare batteries - I buy 3rd party - about 80% performance for 20% of the price
-
Lens cloths & Zeiss Lens wipes
-
Extension tubes (cheap Chinese from eBay)
-
Old fashioned mechanical cable release
